Ben's Friends!

It was a great weekend and an even better Sunday. The March of Dimes walk was a success. People donated, in total, $1320! That's almost three times our initial goal! Thank you so much to everyone who donated. We are overwhelmed.

Chris made t-shirts for the team, and the logo is above. We wanted to show that Ben is now a big, healthy chunker. He got lots of compliments on our shirts.

The weather was great - it was actually warmer than we thought it'd be, but there was a nice breeze. Ben fell asleep after awhile and seemed to have a good time in general.

Here are some of the people who helped make the day possible:

top row, from left: Uncle Michael, Uncle Brian, Granddaddy and Grandmommy Byron, Uncle Dan, Uncle Bob, Ashley and Matt. bottom row: Aunt Michelle, Aunt Ashley, Chris, Me, Ben (not happy), Aunt Rose, Grandmommy and Poppy, and Uncle Nik and Aunt Marcia.

When the walk was done, most of the team came back to our house. Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop Reif had made brunch for all of us - a super-yummy casserole, bagels, danishes, croissants, fruit salad... juice, iced tea, coffee... It was SO good and it hit the spot. It felt great to be with everyone and sit down and enjoy each other's company after the walk.

Thank you so much to everyone for participating in the walk. In addition to our friends from Philadelphia, people came from D.C., New York City, Central PA, Jersey City, and all over NJ to walk with us. We are so lucky and thankful to have you all in Ben's life (and ours!).
