It's ok if you throw up in your mouth a little. Ear infection, fever, conjunctivitis (which developed in a matter of 4 hours today) and a "noisy" pair of lungs for RyGuy. Oh, and he's lost a full pound since Tuesday (weighed on the same scale in the doctor's office). This child is always happy and he's been whining all day. He fell asleep in Chris' arms earlier, whining until he was asleep.
The doctor wanted to send him for x-rays because he's breathing with his belly instead of his chest (I forget the term, but I promise it's a real thing, and he's had issues like it before), but decided to give him some Amoxicillin and see how he's breathing tomorrow. I called at 3 and am so grateful they had a spot for us at 4:15.
In other news, whenever we ask Ben to do something, he says, "I can't right now."
Also, since his teeth were pulled, he's noticed that there's a gap where there once were teeth. That gap can be fun. That gap is something he's been fixated with lately. He likes saying words that have a tr- or f- or fr- sound, because they produce the most spit. Sometimes he'll add those sounds to whatever word he's pronouncing, just for fun.

He looks like Popeye when he talks, because in order to capitalize on the sound-making ability of his new mouth-situation, one must talk out of the side of his mouth.
His favorite thing to watch lately has been "Splish Splash Splosh!" - a Thomas movie. You can bet that he likes to say the phrase:
