hot in here.

We had a good day despite the heat. We started the day by going to Ben's last class at Little Gym. The semester's over and we probably won't start again until the fall. I told one of the moms there that I was having a sentimental moment... When Ben started there, he wasn't even walking yet, and now he likes to walk on the balance beam (with me holding his hands) and jump off at the end. He likes the uneven bars and doing the touch, tuck and roll on the inclined and round mats. He likes the bubbles that Miss Cassandra brings out at the end of class, and he loves putting the balls in the basketball net. We drove by the place this morning because we were early and needed to kill time, and he got so excited when he saw it.

This afternoon after his nap, we spent a bunch of time out back playing with his water table. I made sure it was in the shade and just kept the hose running, spraying him down once in awhile. He loved it and said 'woah' every time the water hit him. It was so cute.

I wish everyone could get a chance to ride in a car with Ben. Chris and I relish it. The boy sees every single bus, no matter how far away it is. He says, 'BEE!! BEE!!' for every bus he sees. Each time, he's as excited as the last. Chris made a good point - it must be cool for Ben - it's like he's on a scavenger hunt and feels so excited every time he sees one.

Tonight we went to Uncle Dan's house to see our old realtors, Steph and Bill. They helped us buy our place back in 2004, and we've referred them to anyone and everyone since. Dan's putting his house on the market, so when we went over it was a nice reunion. The house looks great and it was nice to catch up.

When we got home, Ben was pooped. He let me snuggle a bit with him before he went to bed.
