Ben's new favorite book is Big Red Barn by Margaret Wise Brown. It's just as sleep-inducing as Goodnight Moon, and totally underrated. Ben asks us to read it to him at least 15 times a day. No exaggeration.


All day, Sophie wonders when Ben is going to bed for the evening. That's when it becomes Her time. Above, she eyes me impatiently. Below, a she gives a dirty look. She gets huffy.


Mama and Dada read the book differently, so it's fun for Ben to rotate readers.

Aunt Ashley's baby shower was today! She's due in the beginning of September and the doctors told her and Uncle Bri that they're having a boy. It was so fun to see all of the little baby things and baby clothes. Aunt Kelly brought the presents out for Ashley to open, and I took copious notes for thank-you-note time. Even though I was verbally harassed by Aunt Kelly the entire time. Such a nag.

We can't wait to meet Baby Reif! Mom-Mom Reif and the Irvin girls put on quite a shower. It was a success.
